The role…

Reporting to the Executive Chef, we’re looking for a superstar who can be responsible and effectively manage our Conference & Events team.

As a leader and integral part of our team, you will ensure the day to day activities and strategic planning are delivered to a high standard, through passion for hospitality and the drive to deliver an exceptional level of service to our guests.

You’ll be a strong people leader with a flexible and member-centric approach. We want you to bring your self-discipline and enthusiasm to our team to manage all financial and operational aspects of our Conference and Events Operations.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

We’re looking for…
 

  • Previous experience in hospitality environment.  
  • Sound understanding of F&B operations & the event management industry.  
  • A flair for creating and identifying business opportunities. 
  • A solid understanding of sales principals and techniques.  
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with others.  
  • Substantial knowledge of the service procedures relative to C&E Operations including but not limited banquet, buffet, cocktail, conference and special event service within 5-star venues. 
  • Depth of wine knowledge and general bar beverages. 
  • Proven understanding of budget and accounting procedures including planning, forecasting and controlling
  • Great time management skills 
  • Flexibility to work with the business requirements.  
  • Knowledge of OPERA PMS and Catering Sales (desirable).
